Adam Wiseman

Ethics Breakfast Session

 Adam Wiseman has more than 18 years of experience working with adults living with mental illness and other intersecting challenges. Adam has worked in residential, employment and community settings in a front line capacity with this population. He is currently the Manager of Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Programs at the Canadian Mental Health Association – Toronto Branch. While at CMHA – Toronto he became a certified Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) instructor and implemented the current training program that all staff of CMHA Toronto undertake in order to safely work in the community. In addition to this, Adam is a public speaker and a professor of Community Mental Health Case Management at George Brown College. 

He has spoken on the subject of crisis prevention, intervention and communication to groups ranging from the Social Justice Tribunals of Ontario, Toronto Police Services Court Support Officers, Liberal Party of Ontario Constituency Office Managers, the Ministry of the Attorney General Supervised Access Program and others. He sits on the Ontario Assertive Community Treatment Technical Advisory Committee, North and South Scarborough Health Link Design and Quality Improvement teams, and the Central East LHIN's ACTT Team Leads Network as well as the GTA ACT Network. Most recently he has been selected to sit on the Civilian Advisory Panel reviewing the training program of the Toronto Police Services.
